Strom Architects is a London-based architecture and interior design studio founded in 2010 by founder Magnus Strom. The studio aims to shape their love of thinking (design) and making (architecture). For their buildings, materials, details and construction are an essential and informative part of the design process. Materials are the key to building.

Kattegat House

饱经风霜的建筑岁月

Strom Architects has designed Kattegat House, a single-family villa located on the west coast of southern Sweden. There are stunning views, as the site slopes gently towards the sea and blends in with the surrounding landscape. The studio created a stone wall to define the "habitable" area, which creates a physical boundary and provides privacy. Inside the walls, they terraced the "habitable" areas to create a hierarchy of platforms on which the different functions of the house are placed.

The design of Kattegat House is built with a concrete frame, with walls and fins made of bricks by Petersen Kolumba. The language of concrete and brick shows "the honesty of the building", while providing a very strong building structure that can withstand the weather well in this exposed place.

Bohemian Paradise

美丽的波西米亚天堂

Strom Architects受一个客户的委托，翻新和设计一座位于美丽的捷克布拉格的度假别墅，该项目被命名为“Bohemian Paradise”（波西米亚天堂）。工作室拜访了这个客户，同时被他们现有的20世纪30年代的现代主义住宅震惊了 。它被翻新到一个非常简单和完美的标准。这些客户是他们所谓的“硬核极简主义者”。 他们最主要的目的是为周末度假设计一个远离城市的地方。

Strom Architects was commissioned by a client to renovate and design a holiday home in the beautiful Czech city of Prague. The project is called 'Bohemian Paradise'. The studio visited the client and was stunned by their existing 1930s modernist home. It was refurbished to a very simple and perfect standard. These customers are what they call "hardcore minimalists." Their main aim was to create a weekend getaway away from the city.

Bentonville

Strom Architects designed a home for a couple in Washington, D.C. The couple bought rural land in western Virginia overlooking the Blueridge Mountains and planned to build a vacation home to escape the city on weekends and in the summer. Clients with a strong interest in architecture have always dreamed of having their own house design.

It is a single-story house situated on a hilltop with the main function facing south, with the kitchen, dining room and living room in the center of the floor plan. The master bedroom is located at the west end, which maximizes views of the spectacular sunset over the Blueridge Mountains. At the eastern end of the southern facade, there is a spacious outdoor living area. This also gives an open view to the east, which is an important factor for clients to enjoy their morning coffee here and enjoy the sun over the mountains.

Porthmadog House

一道亮丽的风景线

Strom Architects完成了位于英国威尔士西北部乡村海岸的一座住宅Porthmadog House。这里可以欣赏到爱尔兰海海湾的景色，因此住宅具有双重性：既充分利用广阔的海景，又可以从崎岖的乡村和内陆景观中汲取灵感。

Strom Architects has completed Porthmadog House, a residence on the country coast in north-west Wales, UK. With views of the bay over the Irish Sea, the house has a dual character: taking advantage of expansive sea views while drawing inspiration from the rugged countryside and inland landscape.
