Agnes Rudzite is an interior studio based in Latvia co-founded by Agnes Rudzite and Maria Rudakova. Latvia is a small country in eastern Europe, next door to Russia and Lithuania. Agnes Rudzite has worked on projects in Latvia and internationally for more than a decade, during which time they have developed their own style: a balance between classical and modern, elegant and bold, cosmopolitan and respectful to local values. Agnes Rudzite carried out the first large apartment project in south-western Moscow, a house built in the early 2000s. The interior of the family apartment was inspired by the '70s style. After the apartment complex was merged, load-bearing concrete columns were opened, and Agnes Rudzite completed them with circular paneling that, as she put it, "turned defects into effects." Agnes Rudzite refurbished everything, leaving nothing of the old. The result is a brand new 340-square-foot, five-bedroom home. This ancient house in Jurmala, Latvia, was designed by Agnes Rudzite. Many of the house's extraordinary interiors are inspired by legendary Italian villas of the 1930s and 1940s. Arched walkways, terrazzo floors, vintage chandeliers from flea markets, lacquered furniture and rounded shapes, the result is rather eclectic and nostalgic, with bold tones and textures interwoven. Modern details and techniques will not let people forget the present, and make the interior decoration has a sense of relevance and fashion.
